Happy Face, Happy Wallet

It’s midnight, and the weight of the entire day is working its hardest to convince me to just go to bed without washing my face. In fact, the reason why I am up at nighttime is because I am too exhausted or lazy to go to bed, let clean my face by itself. However, it is a cardinal sin to go to bed with layers of primer, foundation, setting powder, blush, shadow, mascara, and so forth. I usually pay the purchase price when I go to sleep without washing my face. Morning hours Not only do I appear to be Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd the next, but I breakout immediately.

Why is it that I like to apply makeup, but I hate to remove it at the end of the day? There are so many steps to removing the makeup. First, I take away the eyesight stuff with baby essential oil and a cotton ball, clean the facial skin twice then, then I firmness (although I have been skipping this task), and then I moisturize.

Sometimes, I combine the eye and face makeup removal by using Jergens Face Cream makeup removal cream and a warm clean cloth. However, even then this is time consuming because I must massage the cream in, and use a clean towel to clean everything off many times then. So a while ago, I figured I would start exploring the world of makeup removal wipes. I have tested Lumene, Olay, Everyday Minerals, baby wipes, and the Target brand. I feel like Goldilocks; insufficient cloth, not enough moisture, not enough cleaning agent, hard of the material too, much fragrance too, too drying, sticky too, blah just.

I was about to quit. I started using the facial wipes to clean the counter-tops after makeup application, instead of using them on my face. The wipes remaining me frustrated just. Fortunately, things appear to be looking up. I used to be skeptical, but I made a decision to give them a try.

The brand is called Simple. It really is a brand name from the U.K that is around since 1960. The brand prides itself on catering to sensitive skin. Therefore, there are no fragrances nor dyes. Based on the press release, these wipes are being released in America, specifically at Duane Reade in NYC.

As soon as I received the wipes, I began testing them. I have put my other makeup removal products aside for the last two weeks, and I have already been concentrating on these wipes. These were tested by me with different foundations, and different eyesight makeup looks (light to dramatic). Size–The clothes are 7×7 ins big.

These sheets are nice and big. I could fold on the sheet many times and focus on certain heavily composed areas without requiring another sheet. I just use clean areas for each right part of the face In fact, I’ve only used two linens in a single night time once, and that was to see how much the first sheet took off (the Colorstay night).

I enjoy the size of the cloth. Texture and Moisture of wipe–the wipe is clothlike; very soft, no rough spots, and quite substantial. These wipes have not torn on me, and I can be tough on my face unnecessarily. As far as the moisture, I wouldn’t mind if this wipes were a bit more saturated, however, I cannot say that the wipe is on the dry side.

When wiping my face, my face feels dewy, not moist. I prefer a little wetter feeling for glide. The moisture of this clean is among baby wipes and the Everyday Minerals wipes (those were crazy dried out for wipes). Fragrance–there is no distinct smell to the wipe. Actually, there’s a very, very faint smell of “green” products. I don’t know how to describe it, but it smells like something that would be considered “natural.” It is hardly obvious; I just dug my nose in the package to capture the smell.

Foundation–I have used these wipes to eliminate Revlon Colorstay basis, Revlon colorstay mixed with Maybelline mineral liquid foundation, MAC studio fix fluid, tag. Max Factor Pancake, and natural powder foundation. Obviously, the Revlon Colorstay is the most challenging to remove, and this wipes was for the challenge up. Overall, the wipe removed a great amount of the foundation with one cloth. AFTER I swiped my face with a toner-saturated cotton ball, I did have just a little residue left, but it was residue just, not an unwanted amount of left over.
